Now I knew that there was an old Lincoln Highway Bridge around somewhere- but where was it? Leaving the interpretive site I could see a bridge. Problem was, that this one didn’t look to be old enough to be the one I was looking for.

Are you talking about the old LH bridge that’s supposed to be *right* by the interpretive site? Here’s where it’s at.
You know the road next to the site? If you look north, there’s a railroad bridge practically next to it? Well, just beyond (farther north) there’s another bridge, seemingly sitting alone in the field beyond. *That’s* the old LH bridge. If you look under the railroad bridge, you can see it. (Or climb on the tracks, and you’ll see it clearly in the near distance.

Ah, here you go. Of course, Brian Butko has an image describing exactly what I’m talking about. In the sat view, you can see the site (that white patch), and the three bridges.
